KPC Yarn Studio Tour

July 5, 2018

KPC Yarn

In April 2018, I was visiting Hong Kong and had the privilege to visit the KPC Yarn studio for a meeting (Yes, this means an exciting collaboration is in the works! Keep reading to find out more~). The team gave me a tour of their studio space and shared a lot of information about their yarns and what they do. It was definitely a dream studio with shelves and shelves of yarn, a workshop area and more! Needless to say, I was envious.

Look at those giant pencils as knitting needles!

They had a showcase in the middle of the studio with their latest collaboration with Molla Mills then!

This pom pom wall art is too adorable. I can imagine it being a rug as well!

I love how they really allowed the versatility of their yarns to shine through here, displaying a variety of craft using yarns.

The team was so kind to gift us this sample set. I love every detail that goes into it! The box set included one ball each of the various types of KPC yarn and knitted swatches. The swatches are a really good gauge of the yarn weight and texture. I must say they were all REALLY SOFT AND PRETTY! The fibres used to make these yarns are all carefully selected from trusted sheep, cotton and cashmere farms.

They gave us a folder that included swatches of every yarn and the colours they came in. I love how the yarns came in a wide range of colours to choose from and I can definitely imagine endless projects to work on using their yarns. All KPC Yarns are dyed without the use of harsh chemicals that are harmful to our environment, so that’s definitely a plus to us!

So what exactly are we up to with all these KPC yarn? After carefully looking at the available range, we decided to design and craft a collaborative project around their Gossyp range – an organic cotton yarn that feels super luxurious and is certified by the Organic Exchange.

We’ll be posting about this project next week, so stay close to our blog!
