Inspiration: Patterned Eggs

How pretty are these! Such a lovely way to embrace nature and embellish eggs at the same time without the mess of paints. Credits to this ingenious blog, but for the benefit of those who can’t read mandarin, simply position the leaves/ flowers on the egg and wrap with a thin stocking (preferably new and clean please!), then bring to a boil in colouring or natural dyes — onion skins, blackberries and beetroot!

I’m also thinking this is totally applicable to Chinese herbal tea eggs (I love those!) and could also jazz up a newborn’s first month by having patterned red eggs. How eggciting!
