Inspiration: Dream Nation SS12 CAAPI Collection

May 31, 2012

I was approached by Joanna Szproch, photographer, to share this collection with all of you and I must say that it’s a pleasure to. When I received the email, the collection got me excited immediately because I love photo textiles and this is really interesting.

The Dream Nation SS12 CAAPI Collection is the gem of Joanna Szproch herself, in collaboration with Dream Nation, an eco street wear brand from Warsaw. The prints for the apparels are chosen from Joanna’s photos as well. I’ll leave the campaign to speak for itself!

A little background information—
“Banisteriopsis caapi” is a South American jungle vine, that is used to prepare Ayahuasca. The name “Ayahuasca” means “vine of the soul” in Quechuan, and the shamans of the indigenous Western Amazonian tribes use the plant in religious and healing ceremonies. In addition to its hallucinogenic properties, caapi is used for its healing properties as a purgative, effectively cleansing the body of parasites and helping the digestive tract.
