I have to admit that one of the easiest ways to catch my attention is actually just to include “DIY” in it and that’s exactly what happened. The DIY Lifestyle Challenge is actually the baby of Evon, a current 4th year student enrolled in the School of Art, Design and Media in Nanyang Technological University.
With the intention to make our city a more livable place by leading a more sustainable independent life, one can pick “challenges” from 4 different categories.
Simply drop her an e-mail at hello@DIY-lifestyle.org, stating which challenge you want to take on (choose from Food/Commute/Making/Mindful Consumption) and whether you want to receive it via email (save trees!) or a hardcopy in your mailbox.
Each challenge card takes you on a 7-day DIY journey where you are encouraged to document and showcase your projects online on your blog or on Facebook. Upon completion of the tasks, share your album on the the DIY Lifestyle Challenge Facebook Page and stand to get an exclusive token!
I love the concept of the entire project, and it’s the perfect chance to get started on DIY and to incorporate such projects into your daily lifestyle. I’ll be starting on my challenge (I picked Mindful Consumption!) soon and I can’t wait to share it with all of you!
