Inspiration: Ribbonesia

It’s just a day away, how is your gift stash looking? I am a huge sucker for things with nice packaging (wrap your presents!!!) and have always felt that ribbons on a present is just like icing on the cake. Imagine how i felt when I chanced upon these cuties!!!

An art project started by Japanese artist/illustrator BAKU Maeda, Ribbonesia is a creation of his 3D works in recent years. Made delicately by hand, it features his obsession with animals and no two creatures are the same.

Now please think about how much more interesting gift wrapping can be! I’ll honestly love the present even before tearing the wrapper apart! Definitely worth a shot at DIY-ing! To help yourselves out, search the internet for animal origami techniques!

Happy Christmas Eve, y’all! Be jolly and stay warm (yes, it has been pretty chilly even in Singapore!!!) and I hope you get lots of pretty presents xx
