I’ve been meaning to post this up for a while now. True, this campaign/video has been going around for quite a while now since the release of Mugler’s A/W 2011 Mens collection, but I could probably put it on loop and not get sick of it. The track, model and the direction.
The model featured is Rick Genest (aka Zombie Boy) and the video created by Mariano Vivanco & Nicola Formichetti for Mugler. It features an exclusive remix of Scheiße by Lady Gaga.
If you find him familiar, it might be cause you saw him alongside Lady Gaga in her Born This Way music video. I certainly consider tattoos a form of expression and art but what really triggered me to post this up is the new campaign Rick Genest is fronting. Definitely another form of body art and something to think about.
Dermablend’s range of cosmetics is said to specialise in totally covering skin flaws ranging from birth marks to tattoos, without the appearance of wearing a lot of heavy make-up. It certainly does look like it’s doing its job and I’m thinking it probably has been a while since Genest saw himself in his real skin as well.
What’s your take on how much cosmetics has evolved? Could this be solution to the problems of many?
PS! We say… Mad props to the advertising company, Tuxedo Agency who pulled this off! Who better than Zombie Boy for a concealer ad?
